This newly-renovated farmhouse is located in the idyllic Vienne countryside in the Poitou Charante department in South West France.The picturesque village of St Martin L’Ars is nearby, with two bars/restaurants, a village shop and a recreational lake with beach, ideal for children, with a playground plus boating and fishing on the lake.The accommodation is 20 minutes from the beautiful riverside town of Confolens, 5 minutes from the motor-racing Circuit Val de Vienne, and the cities of Poitiers and Limoges are within an hour’s drive. Nearby, one can find a network of walks and cycle paths on the “D’oc D’oyle” (the old North to South footpath). L’Isle Jourdain, the nearest town (10 minutes drive), is lively during the summer months, with bars, pizzerias, and restaurants. Canoeing and kayaking are available nearby on the river; bungee-jumping takes place from the Viaduct most Sundays. Fishing is available on the nearby lakes in the area.  |

The farmhouse can operate as a gite, or as Chambres d’Hotes. There are two double bedrooms and one twin-bedded room. All bedrooms are en-suite. All linen and towels are provided. The lounge provides comfortable seating accommodation, with television (all UK Freeview channels, plus French tv) settee and chairs, table, lots of books, DVDs etc). The kitchen is fully fitted with a dining area, and includes a fridge/freezer, electric oven with gas hob, toaster, microwave, electric kettle, crockery, cutlery etc. A laundry room is available. The beautiful garden area provides table, chairs and a barbecue. Free WiFi is available. 
The owner’s accommodation is nearby, so that if you should have any problem or query, they are there to offer help if needed. |
